Run for Relief Burma began in 2004 as an effort to raise awareness about the situation in the ethnic areas of Burma and to raise funds for humanitarian relief efforts through the work of the Free Burma Rangers (FBR).

The first Run/Walk was organized by the Seattle Burma Round Table and Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church

in 2004 and this event has now spread world-wide. Events have been held in Norway, Australia, Thailand, Scotland, Washington State, Alaska, California, and even inside the Karen State of Burma.

From certified racing events to simple fun runs, this event is continuing to grow and we hope that it will continue to expand until freedom comes to Burma.

2002 Walk for  Burma
